Pixator is an experimental app that should simplify making pixel art a lot. You can use it for stylisation your photos or preparing a underpainting for your future artworks. Though the idea sounds super simple, we're thinking to develop it based on our users thoughts and feedback. If you already have some - welcome to join to our Discord server.
It simply makes your image smaller and pixelated. You can export it as is to continue working on it, or upscale pixels to share with tour friends.
This one reduces amount of details preserving edges and color clusters, makes image looking sharper but same time like a painted with big strokes.
The app can help you to extract the colours from your picture into a palette, and then export it to one of popular formats (.ASE, .TXT, .GPL, .PAL).
You can manually create and apply a color swatches to your image. Also you have an option to select how to apply it: with lightness or chroma priority.
Dithering is a method to imitate more colors when you have a limitation of them in your palette. The resulting image will look noisy but more natural, colorful and detailed.
